Auction Rules

1. FREE to post your birds, FREE to Re-List as many times as you want.
2. 10% Commission only if bird sells
3. Register - agree to terms, create a username (loft name) and enter current address, phone number. The auction software will only allow the 1st letter to  be capitalized and no spaces are allowed. Johns Loft will not work, however Johnsloft will work. A computer generated password will be emailed automatically to you. You can choose to keep this password or change it later. Make sure you add staff@pigeontrader.com email to your address book or email contact list in order to receive our emails. If you do not receive a password, check your SPAM filter or Junk Mail folder and look for an email from PigeonTrader.com. If you still have a problem contact PigeonTrader.com and we can look your password for you.
4. Posting Birds for Auctions – You can post your own birds or have PigeonTrader staff post your birds for you. When posting your own birds you are allowed to add 4 photo images. The total allowed size for 4 photos cannot exceed 360 mb. So if you choose to post 4 photos they would need to be around 90 mb each. If your just posting 2 photos, they would need to be 180 mb each. You can change the size of images using photo editing software or changing the settings to a lower quality on your digital camera. Set them for web settings and you should have no problems. Nice bird photos and pedigrees will help you sell your birds. So I recommend that your birds are clean and are not standing in droppings  when shooting photos.

PigeonTrader.com Bird Posting – $20 a Bird added if bird sells – If you prefer Pigeontrader.com to post your birds for you, this is what we will need for each listing.

1. Title/Item Name:
2. Days Until Close: 1-14
3. Auto Relist:
   Optional, this will allow you to relist your item up to 2 times if not sold equal to the same runing days as you entered above.
4. Description Title:
   This is the description title of your item.
5. Description:
   May include HTML – This should include the condition of the item, payment and shipping information, and any other information the buyer should know.
6. Your Starting Bid or fixed selling price:
   
7. Your Reserve Price:
   You are not obligated to sell below this price. Leave 0.00 for no reserve.
8. Buy It Now Price: With this option a buyer can buy your item until the bidding starts for the price you set here
9. PLEASE NOTE: By placing an item up for bid you are making a CONTRACT between you and the buyer. Once you place an item, you may not retract it and you must sell it for the highest bid. In other words, if you don’t want to sell it, don’t place it up for bid! Registration is required to sell an Item.

After Auction Ends – An Automatic email will be sent to buyer and seller letting them know what to do next. But sometimes the mail will go into your Spam or Junk mail folder.

1. Winning Auction Bidders pay PigeonTrader.com for auctions that they won.
2. PigeonTrader.com will contact Seller after payment is received and release the bird for shipment.
3. If it’s an out of state check, the bank will put a hold on check for 5 days. Payments using Money Orders and PayPal will help speed the whole process and the buyer will get their birds faster and seller will get paid quicker as well.
4. PigeonTrader will send payment minus 10% commission to Seller after buyer received their bird/s.
